We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who supported our stove project. The simple act of cooking poses a pervasive threat to women and children worldwide, including Guatemala, resulting in 4 million global deaths annually. The global population’s reliance on hazardous open fires and fuels like wood and kerosene is alarming, and Guatemalan families are struggling with wood scarcity and unaffordable prices. Following consultations with families, we identified adopting small propane stoves at $96.50 per unit as the most cost-effective solution. Ultimately, we successfully purchased 52 stoves, highlighting the significant impact that collective generosity can have on the lives of others.
“A lot of people…helping even a little bit…can make a world of difference!”
